It all started when....

a dear friend gave me her horse. He’s the chestnut one in this photo. That moment was a culmination of a lifelong obsession with animals, including horses, and it led us to buying a small farm in rural Oklahoma.

It never stopped! We added chickens, and goats, and our dream is to someday produce fiber for hand knitting. Who knows if we’ll make it happen, but it’s nice to dream.

I’m a biologist, educator, and internationally published knitwear designer. And I am the co-founder of Knitrino, an app that’s like Google Maps for you knitting. My husband holds degrees in Biotechnology and a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry. He helps a lot, especially in kidding, and can do things I don’t ever want to have to do on my own! We both love every single creature we raise on this small patch of earth and are committed to giving them their best lives. We raise them according to the research and wisdom of Temple Grandin and our own core values of a creating a more sustainable earth. As biologist we are committed to healthy, well-bred animals and choose a variety of breeds and crosses that will thrive in the region we live. We love genetics and Willie Nelson.

This is a Veteran-owned farm.
