How to Make Tassels
1. Cut a sturdy piece of cardboard of cardstock 10” long. Wrap MC 45 times keeping wraps taut and straight. Wrap CC 10 times.
2. Cut 12” of CC and lay it horizontally on the work surface. Slide the wraps off the cardboard and center on the 12” strand. Use a ruler to ensure it is centered.
Tie tightly
4. Keeping the 12” stand separate from the tassel, adjust to tassel shape. Cut through looped ends. Tip: use scissors large enough to do this in one cut.
5. Cut several feet of CC to tie the tassel neck. Wrap slowly and tight from the top down. Wrap over the starting end with each wrap. As you wrap ensure the threads of the top and the skirt are neat. Use a tapestry needle to thread the end of the wrapping yarn under the wraps. Trim everything up neatly.
